A golden opportunity to form creative duos!
What is Meet & Write?
Meet & Write aims to bring together screenwriters and directors to find the right person to work with on a joint feature film project.
The aim is to move the project forward so that it is ripe for submission to the CCA’s writing assistance program.
Who can apply?
The participant must be a Belgian resident and able to express himself/herself in French or English.
The participant must have already written or directed at least one work broadcast in festivals, television, platforms or cinema.
The participant confirms that he/she is available on the day of the speed dating event.
The participant is aware that making a feature-length film is a long-term process and a human adventure. Forming a duo is not a commitment to be taken lightly.
Who can attend?
Directors and screenwriters looking for a partner to launch their feature film project are invited to apply.
A maximum of ten screenwriters and ten directors will be selected for the speed-dating session.
Three steps
Speed-dating
A meeting between screenwriters and directors on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at Industry Corner at BRIFF. Each participant will have the opportunity to chat for 15 minutes with each of the other participants. The meeting will be followed by a drink to continue the discussion informally.

Coaching
Four coaching sessions will follow over the course of 2025/2026, in preparation for the pitch. Two sessions will be dedicated to the script, while the third will focus on realization intentions. A final session will prepare projects for the BRIFF PiTCH! event.
